Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Indiana seeks substitute teachers who are active church participants with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role involves delivering LifeWise classes, implementing curricula, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom.

You will complete substitute teacher training, manage records and attendance, and communicate with volunteers and the supervising teacher. Commitment to LifeWise beliefs and following program policies is essential.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers and the teacher.
• Communicate with the supervising teacher.
