Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who are active in a local church and demonstrate strong communication skills. Candidates should commit to LifeWise beliefs and classroom safety, and will deliver LifeWise lessons as needed within a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities include training completion, using the LifeWise curriculum, maintaining attendance and classroom standards, and coordinating with teachers and volunteers to ensure smooth class operations.

Qualifications

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Faith statement

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records and provide to the teacher
• Keep classroom clean, attractive and well-ordered; know emergency procedures
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher
