Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who embody a strong Christian faith and active church involvement. The role requires delivering LifeWise classes as needed, implementing provided lesson plans, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom in accordance with LifeWise policies.

Ideal candidates will communicate effectively with teachers and volunteers, participate in training, and serve as ambassadors within the community while upholding the LifeWise values.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
