Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated substitute teacher who can demonstrate a strong Christian faith, excellent communication, and reliable classroom management. The role requires active church involvement and adherence to LifeWise policies.

The substitute will complete training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, and implement provided lesson plans. Responsibilities include record-keeping, safety, and clear communication with teachers and volunteers, while upholding the school’s mission.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise’s Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy’s Faith Statement.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties; communicate with the teacher.
