Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Kentucky seeks a substitute teacher who models a mature Christian faith and communicates well with students and families. You will deliver LifeWise lessons and maintain a safe, engaging classroom in accordance with LifeWise policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.

Overview

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
