Job summary

Christus Hospice Schumpert, part of the LHC Group family, is seeking a Volunteer Manager to lead and coordinate hospice volunteers and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves recruitment, training, and ongoing education to support patient care and family needs.

You will collaborate with patients, families, and the hospice team to assign volunteers, monitor activities, and maintain accurate records while adhering to state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; able to learn multiple applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers.
• Ensure program standards meet regulatory and certification bodies and company pillars.
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and hospice team to coordinate volunteer assignments.
• Assign volunteers to activities and monitor reports, escalating urgent items as needed.
• Maintain accurate volunteer activity documentation in the electronic medical record system per federal/state regulations.
