Job summary

Compassus in Pennsylvania is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to supervise volunteers, interview, hire, train, and retain staff who support patient care and family needs.

You will recruit and deploy volunteers, maintain records, and ensure compliance with regulations while working with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AS or BS degree preferred.
• Experience in Social Services, Human Services, Resource Management or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
• Prior experience managing volunteer services or non-profit organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise volunteers, including interviewing, hiring, training, and retention.
• Plan, assign, and direct volunteer workload; evaluate performance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement the plan of care to meet patient and family needs.
• Maintain records of recruitment and volunteer utilization.
• Coordinate communication between volunteers and the interdisciplinary team.
