Job summary

Heart of Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, training, and ongoing education for hospice volunteers. You will coordinate patient care-related volunteer assignments with families and the hospice team.

You will ensure adherence to regulatory standards, maintain EMR documentation, and support program excellence through strong communication and leadership in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn multiple applications.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to dependable transportation.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
• Effective communication and presentation skills; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers.
• Ensure program standards meet regulatory requirements and company pillars.
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and hospice team to coordinate volunteer assignments.
• Assign volunteers to activities, monitor volunteer reports, and escalate urgent items.
• Maintain accurate volunteer activity care plan documentation in the EMR per state and federal rules.
