Heart of Hospice, part of LHC Group within UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, training, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers. The role supports regulatory compliance and patient care coordination across families and the hospice team.

You will coordinate actions to meet program standards, maintain EMR documentation, and collaborate with supervisors to address urgent issues. Strong communication and leadership are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn multiple apps.
• Valid driver’s license and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, training, ongoing education, and assignments for Hospice Volunteers.
• Ensure program standards meet regulatory requirements and company pillars.
• Meet with patients, caregivers, families, and hospice team to coordinate volunteer assignments.
• Assign volunteers to activities, monitor reports, and escalate urgent items to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate volunteer activity documentation in the EMR per federal and state standards.
