Job summary

Nourishing Hope in Chicago seeks a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to create a positive volunteer experience and support 100,000+ annual volunteer hours. You’ll coordinate groups, steward partners, and help build strong donor relationships across four locations.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while traveling as needed to locations throughout the city.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers in a nonprofit, events, or fundraising setting.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills; comfortable public speaking.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate across departments and engage volunteers and donors professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer groups across four Nourishing Hope locations and manage communications and logistics.
• Liaise with schools, residential buildings, and small businesses to grow volunteer opportunities and donor engagement.
• Produce Monthly Volunteer Bulletin; maintain orientation materials and website content.
• Maintain volunteer records and monitor attendance; support recruitment and retention efforts.
• Represent Nourishing Hope as a community ambassador and support cross‑department initiatives.
