The Ark in Chicago seeks a Program Support Specialist to keep the Volunteer and Outreach Department running smoothly. You’ll help volunteers navigate the online portal, manage Salesforce roles, order supplies, and answer in-kind donation calls.

This full-time, in-person role requires strong organization, comfort with new systems, and a can-do attitude. Reports to the Director of Community Engagement and collaborates with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years experience at a social service or nonprofit organization.
• 1 year experience data management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, Monday.com, and Salesforce.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for the on-site volunteer base with the Volunteer Coordinator.
• Help volunteers navigate the online portal and Salesforce; coordinate with staff on roles.
• Assist with occasional group program facilitation.
• Set up and maintain volunteer roles in Salesforce and the online portal.
• Run monthly reports for board meetings and staff.
• Provide general administrative support and manage calendars.
