Job summary

Nourishing Hope in Chicago seeks a Manager of Online Market to oversee daily food distribution programming, staff supervision, neighbor and volunteer engagement, operations and data reporting, and food safety.

The role collaborates with program, operations and leadership teams to ensure dignified, community‑minded service across locations, with occasional remote work and evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years work experience in social services, customer service, or grocery/retail environments.
• 2+ years experience supervising and providing coaching to a team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain food service sanitation certification as required by laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across in-person, phone, remote, and written channels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily online market distribution programming and staff supervision.
• Engage neighbors and volunteers, manage operations, logistics, data tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards across programs and partner sites.
• Collaborate with leadership teams to align priorities and expand partnerships.
