Calvert Marine Museum is seeking a dedicated professional to develop and maintain a robust volunteer program and coordinate events. The role includes recruiting, interviewing, orienting, and placing volunteers, as well as producing communications and reports to support the program.

You will work with staff, supervise volunteer activities, and help manage budgets and logistics for seasonal events, while ensuring proper documentation and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of-- Effective techniques of volunteer management.
• Ability to implement an effective program to recruit, place and retain volunteers.
• Modern office procedures and practices including operation of calculators and computers.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain an effective volunteer program and plan logistics for major events.
• Recruit volunteers, interview candidates, orient volunteers, and coordinate placement with staff.
• Maintain records, generate reports on hours and value of service, and manage communications with volunteers.
