Job summary

Arkansas Children's is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Manager to oversee a portfolio of over 150 adult volunteers across hospital departments. You will recruit, interview, onboard, schedule, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, while leading engagement programs and supervising program staff.

The role emphasizes annual evaluations, corrective coaching, and collaboration with community-based staff to maintain high-quality volunteer services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree recommended.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with HS/GED; 7 years in lieu.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Volunteer Manager Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages weekly volunteer schedules including clocking details.
• Interviews, onboards and ensures compliance (TB, CBC, TDAP, Flu, annual safety assessment, etc.) annually for all volunteers.
• Engages volunteers, ensures annual evaluations are completed, and provides correction and coaching.
• Responsible for management of volunteer engagement programming.
• Provides direct supervision of AC program staff and may work in a matrixed supervision role for community-based staff.
• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified staff; manage staff performance with feedback.
