Job summary

The role supervises volunteer programs, recruits volunteers, develops procedures, policies and job descriptions, and presents quarterly meetings while ensuring safety standards and ongoing quality

Qualifications

• Three years of hospital experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• High school education with post-secondary training.
• Ability to recruit and coordinate volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to staffing needs with volunteers.
• Provide volunteers for fundraising programs.
• Supervise adult and college volunteer programs.
• Create and maintain procedures, policies, and job descriptions.
• Promote programs and recruit volunteers.
• Staffing and evaluations of department personnel.
• Organize and present quarterly volunteer meetings.
• Manage the volunteer newsletter.
• Handle disciplinary problems and complaints related to volunteers.
• Serve on committees as requested.
• Follow policies, safety standards; complete annual education; support quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
