Job summary

Compassus, in partnership with OhioHealth at Home, seeks a Volunteer Coordinator in Dublin, OH to lead and develop the volunteer program. You will recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise volunteers to support patient care alongside the IDT, ensuring compliance with background checks and state regulations.

You will coordinate care plans, communicate needs to the team, and develop educational materials and reports to demonstrate the program’s impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AS or BS degree preferred.
• Experience in Social Services, Human Services, Resource Management or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, interview, hire, train, and retain volunteers.
• Coordinate patient and family needs for volunteer services.
• Maintain records of recruitment, retention, and utilization of volunteers.
• Ensure background checks and health screenings are completed before offering a position.
• Communicate patient and family needs to the IDT and provide volunteer education.
