Bon Secours Home Care and Hospice by Compassus seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to lead volunteer programs, recruit and supervise volunteers, and support patient care within our hospice services. The role emphasizes compliance, training, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

You will promote Compassus values and ensure volunteers align with care plans while maintaining accurate records and delivering compassionate service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AS or BS degree (preferred) in a related field.
• Experience in Social Services, Human Services, Resource Management or related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to develop and implement the plan of care.
• Promotes the use of volunteers to support patient care needs.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and retains volunteers; manages workload and performance evaluations.
• Ensures background and health screenings for volunteers are completed.
• Maintains records of volunteer utilization and contributes to program reports.
