Job summary

LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games is seeking an Associate, Volunteer Experience to shape the volunteer journey for thousands of individuals from Pre-Games preparation through Games-time delivery. You will help drive the end-to-end volunteer journey with a focus on day-to-day operations at the Volunteer Experience Center (VXC) in Los Angeles.

You will coordinate logistics, assessments, training activities, and volunteer engagement programs, while supporting paid staff as needed to ensure volunteers

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in volunteer programs, customer service, event operations, workforce operations, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of equivalent experience in volunteer programs, event operations, or workforce operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and warmly with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and managing information in databases, CRM systems, or similar volunteer management tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Experience Center, from pre-Games through to Games-time including logistics, schedules and resources to deliver a welcoming and engaging experience for all volunteer candidates.
• Coordinate the successful delivery of volunteer assessments including both the in-person and virtual experience, assisting with associated training activities, and delivering volunteer engagement activities.
• Oversee all Volunteer Support Crew operations and engagement efforts as well support operational paid staff as needed.
• Support delivery of the volunteer reward and recognition program from Pre-Games to Games- time ensuring all LA28 volunteers are motivated and engaged throughout the journey.
