Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a passionate teacher to share the gospel in a classroom setting with both churched and unchurched public school students. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

Responsibilities include completing LifeWise certification, teaching LifeWise classes, maintaining attendance records, and serving as an ambassador in the community.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Build relationships with students and pray for them regularly.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters; coordinate with the program director and school officials as needed.
• Keep the classroom organized, safe, and well-ordered; manage supplies and emergency procedures.
• Communicate as LifeWise ambassador within the community; attend open houses and outreach events; update the program director with stories and photos.
