Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching children.

Responsibilities include completing LifeWise training and certifications, teaching LifeWise classes, maintaining records, and fostering a safe, engaging classroom environment aligned with LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience with students in school or church setting.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize lessons.
• Maintain attendance, class rosters, health concerns and permissions for students.
• Create an organized, child-friendly classroom and apply redemptive discipline.
• Build relationships with students, praying for them and engaging volunteers.
• Communicate with program director and school personnel about schedules and student well-being.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions.
