Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a CDL bus driver in Indiana to transport students safely to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record and a valid CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, along with background checks, MVR clearance, and drug testing as per policy.

Ideal candidates will be punctual, responsible, and able to maintain a safe environment for children while following LifeWise Academy's faith-aligned standards and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Undergo and pass a background check.
• Undergo and pass an MVR and clear the FMCSA Clearinghouse check.
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accident).
• CDL license with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) is required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
