Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Fort Wayne, Indiana is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual and maintains a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting students and volunteers, obeying traffic laws, maintaining bus cleanliness and safety, performing routine inspections and completing required training. A CDL with passenger endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in 5 years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce rules.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
