Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Indiana is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to provide safe transport for public school students to and from LifeWise sites. The role requires a clean driving record, proper endorsements, and a commitment to a Christ-centered environment.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain bus safety, and uphold discipline and care for students while obeying traffic laws. Training and background checks are required, with eligibility for annual reviews and annual license

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger endorsement (P) required.
• Age 21–80; annual submission for drivers above 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse check required.
• Drug/alcohol testing per policy; yearly physician's statement for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students as needed.
