Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a CDL bus driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes responsibility, punctuality, and a clean driving record to protect students.

The position requires a CDL with passenger endorsement, regular background and MVR checks, and adherence to LifeWise policies. Training will be provided; a faith-based environment is part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active church involvement required.
• CDL with P endorsement; S endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; CDL recert and endorsements annually as needed.
• Clean driving record; no at-fault accidents or major infractions in 5 years.
• Background check, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks required.
• Mandatory drug/alcohol testing; annual and post-incident tests.
• Medical statements may be required for drivers with known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety of passengers and vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training as required.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if requested by director.
