Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transport for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record, with a mature Christian faith aligned to our Statement of Faith.

The role requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean record, and completion of required trainings, background checks, and drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• CDL license (with endorsement for passenger vehicle P).
• Driver must have been licensed for the past three years.
• Age 21–80; those over 75 must submit CDL license and P endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Physician's Statement may be required for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of students needing help or who are misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom as agreed with the director.
