Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a reliable LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate will have a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith and a clean driving record.

Requirements include a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, possible S endorsement, annual background checks, and mandatory drug/alcohol testing. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and compassionate student supervision.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years.
• Undergo and pass a background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Annual submission of CDL license and (P) endorsement if age >75.
• Active participation in local church aligned with LifeWise faith statement.
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with What We Believe section.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle; demonstrate calm, caring demeanor.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in LifeWise classroom if directed.
