Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. Candidates should be punctual, with a clean driving record and a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, local church involvement, and willingness to undergo background, MVR, and FMCSA checks, plus drug testing and annual medical statements as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL with passenger endorsement (P).
• School bus endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80 with license continuity for the past three years.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Physician's statement if medical conditions exist.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety and cleanliness.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle when needed.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and volunteer in the classroom if approved.
