Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, and maintains a clean driving record while upholding the academy’s faith-based standards.

The role requires a current CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a continuous license for at least three years, and compliance with LifeWise Academy background and drug testing procedures.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• License must have been continuously active for the past three years.
• Age 21-80; drivers over 75 must annually submit CDL license copy with P endorsement.
• Background check conducted through LifeWise Academy.
• Annual drug and/or alcohol testing required.
• Medical underwriter statement for known medical conditions may be requested by LifeWise.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if directed by the director.
