Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting children and LifeWise volunteers, following traffic laws, keeping the bus clean and safe, performing inspections, refueling as needed, and fostering a calm, caring environment for students.

Qualifications

• CDL license with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) is required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.
• Background check, MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students.
