Job summary

pomeroy seeks a skilled Voice Technician to join our IT team in Anaheim, CA. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise telephony infrastructure to ensure high-quality voice communications.

Responsibilities include deploying CUCM, Cisco Unity, Avaya Communication Manager, and managing VoIP endpoints, trunks, gateways, and voicemail systems. The ideal candidate has 3+ years with Cisco/Avaya voice systems and strong QoS knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Cisco and Avaya voice systems.
• Experience configuring and maintaining CUCM, Unity, and Avaya Communication Manager.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, SCCP, H.323) and QoS.
• Certifications such as CCNA Collaboration or Avaya ACIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain CUCM, Cisco Unity, and Avaya Communication Manager.
• Manage VoIP endpoints, SIP trunks, gateways, and voicemail systems.
• Perform MACDs (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) for users and devices.
• Troubleshoot call quality, connectivity, and system performance.
• Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams for voice/data integration.
• Monitor system health with diagnostic tools and dashboards.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and logs.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for voice-related incidents and service requests.
