Job summary

Vonage is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to champion the quality of our cloud-based voice platform. The role emphasizes automation (about 70%) alongside manual testing to validate complex SIP call flows and carrier integrations.

You will design test frameworks, build CI/CD pipelines, and assist engineers with production defect triage. You will work with AWS-based monitoring and Grafana dashboards to detect issues early, while continually improving test speed, coverage, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years QA experience (manual and automation).
• 2+ years in test automation framework development.
• SIP protocol knowledge (call flows, signaling).
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, VoipMonitor).
• AWS basics and cloud familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python/SIPSsert/SIPP-based test frameworks for voice platform validation.
• Create CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for continuous testing.
• Write automated test suites for SIP protocols, call flows, and carrier integrations.
• Develop monitoring automation with AWS and Grafana to catch issues early.
• Improve test infrastructure—speed, reliability, and coverage.
• Participate in early system design and provide input on architectural decisions.
• Own, triage, investigate and help resolve production defects during development.
