Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks an expert VoIP Engineer (IV) to lead the engineering, design, and operations of our voice systems across campus and remote sites. You will architect scalable VoIP solutions, monitor performance, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable communications.

Role requires 7+ years in voice engineering, strong Cisco CUCM experience, CTI integrations (NovelVox/Epic), and leadership of IT telecom projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
7+ years in Voice Operations/Voice Engineering.
3+ years leading IT telecom or infrastructure engineering and operations.
3+ years experience managing IT telecom or infrastructure resources and projects.
Experience with CTI connectors such as NovelVox, SpinSci or AMC; Epic integration preferred.
Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, SOAP, HL7 basics, FHIR basics, XML, OAuth, SAML and interface troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain business-critical communications and voice systems; design scalable LAN/WAN solutions.
Monitor enterprise platforms and troubleshoot voice issues; coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
Lead voice system evaluations and long-range capacity planning.
Provide Tier 2 support for internal voice/data systems and adhere to incident/change/problem management.
Lead projects with project planning, diagrams, and documentation; mentor staff.
