Job summary

Monarch is seeking a Developmental Specialist Vocational in Albemarle, NC. This full-time role focuses on building positive relationships with individuals and helping them achieve personal goals outlined in their plans.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, with travel as needed and potential sleepovers in residential settings. Responsibilities include assessing hopes, protecting rights, promoting advocacy, supervising in work settings, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Valid Driver's License - USA.
• Experience with adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes and desires and provide supports to achieve goals.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services.
• Develop advocacy skills and participate in advocacy efforts for individuals.
• Supervise, educate, and monitor individuals in work settings including community, vocational workshops, and day supports.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Document progress notes, timesheets, and other required records.
• Participate in meetings and trainings; maintain required certifications.
• Travel may be required; sleepovers at residential settings may be needed.
