Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Developmental Specialist Vocational to build positive relationships with individuals served and assist them in reaching personal dreams as defined in individual goal plans.

The role involves assessing needs, promoting rights, and helping with advocacy, community resources, and daily documentation in various settings. Prior experience with mental health or developmental disabilities is a plus. This is a part-time position in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals' hopes and goals and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services.
• Help individuals develop advocacy skills and participate in advocacy efforts.
• Serve as a resource on community agencies and supports meeting identified needs.
• Supervise, educate, and monitor individuals in work and community settings.
• Maintain safety and documentation, including progress notes and timesheets.
