Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in Camden, NC, is seeking a Developmental Specialist Vocational to build trusting relationships with individuals served and help them pursue personal dreams and goals outlined in their plans.

You will assess hopes, assist with advocacy, support in work settings, and document progress while ensuring safety and rights. Travel may be required; ongoing training and compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals for hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Protect and promote rights of individuals receiving services.
• Assist with advocacy efforts and connect with community services.
• Supervise and educate individuals in work settings (community, workshops, day programs).
• Maintain safe environment and ensure adherence to procedures and policies.
• Document progress notes, goals, incidents, and timesheets.
• Assist with onboarding and training of staff; may substitute in-house or in the community.
• Sleepovers at residential settings may be required.
