Stanbridge University seeks an experienced Program Director to lead the Vocational Nursing (VN) Program, serving as the senior academic and operational leader for performance, faculty effectiveness, and student outcomes. The role provides strategic direction, academic excellence, and full compliance with BVNPT and accreditation standards.

This position shapes the next generation of licensed vocational nurses through innovative education, student-centered leadership, and dedicated faculty

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (current, unencumbered)
• Bachelor's degree BVNPT-approved; Master's preferred
• Minimum 4 years RN experience
• At least 1 year teaching or clinical supervision in VN/RN program in last 5 years
• Minimum 3 years nursing admin/education in last 5 years
• Coursework in administration, teaching, curriculum development
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication
• Commitment to student success and program improvement

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of VN program
• Ensure BVNPT and accrediting standards compliance
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty
• Lead curriculum design, updates, and assessment
• Monitor student metrics and implement data-driven interventions
• Ensure quality clinical placements with partners
• Collaborate on budgeting and resource allocation
• Prepare reports for BVNPT and accreditors; lead site visit readiness
• Represent program in professional communities and with partners
