Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the Vocational Nursing (VN) Program. This senior academic and administrative role shapes program quality, regulatory compliance, and student outcomes through strategic direction and strong faculty mentorship.

You will oversee curriculum design, ensure BVNPT adherence, recruit and evaluate faculty, and collaborate with university leadership on budgeting and resource allocation to support effective, outcomes-driven

Qualifications

• Must hold current, active RN license in California.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a registered nurse.
• At least one year in teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved VN or RN program; or a combination thereof.
• Minimum of three years in nursing administration or nursing education within last five years.
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compensation will be based on education, experience and internal equity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of the VN program.
• Ensure BVNPT adherence and compliance with accrediting agencies.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor and evaluate program faculty.
• Lead curriculum design, updates and assessment aligned with industry standards.
• Monitor student performance metrics and implement data-driven interventions.
• Ensure quality clinical placements with clinical partners and coordination team.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Prepare and submit reports for BVNPT and accreditors; lead site visit readiness.
