Job summary

REALIGN LLC in Framingham, MA is seeking an experienced VMware administrator to design, deploy, and manage enterprise virtualization across production, DR, and test environments.

You will lead cluster lifecycle, troubleshoot ESXi hosts and VMs, manage patching and security hardening, implement backup and DR solutions, and collaborate with Storage, Network, Security, and Server teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Required knowledge of enterprise VMware virtualization architecture.
• Experience with vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN operations.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot VMware environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support enterprise VMware platforms (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter/vSAN).
• Design, install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot VMware infra across production, DR, test.
• Lead cluster management: host deployment, lifecycle, capacity planning, hardware refresh.
• Troubleshoot ESXi hosts, VMs, storage, networking, HA/DR/vMotion/vSAN issues.
• Manage patching, upgrades, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure backup, recovery, replication, snapshots, and DR for virtualized workloads.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and governance.
• Monitor performance, analyze trends, identify risks, implement improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive preventive actions.
• Support modernization: version upgrades, migrations, cloud integration.
• Develop docs, architecture diagrams, procedures, knowledge base.
• Collaborate with Storage, Backup, Network, Security, Server, and Apps teams.
• On-call support, maintenance, incident resolution, DR testing.
