Job summary

eNGINE is seeking a VMware Engineer to lead upgrades and strategic initiatives in a large-scale virtualization environment in Pittsburgh, PA. This on-site role focuses on VMware Aria, SRM, and vCenter, with visibility across the organization and a mandate to improve uptime and security.

You will administer and upgrade VMware stacks, drive patches, document performance metrics, and partner with infrastructure teams on enterprise projects. Preferred certifications include VCP and MCSA.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

eNGINE is hiring a VMware Engineer with deep VMware experience to support and optimize a large-scale virtual infrastructure environment with over 50 ESXi hosts. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization, requiring deep expertise in the VMware stack, including Aria, Site Recovery Manager, and vCenter.

This is not a routine support role—this engineer will lead VMware upgrades, remediation efforts, and infrastructure strategy. You’ll work closely with a collaborative infrastructure team to enhance performance, ensure uptime, and maintain security compliance across the virtual environment.
