Job summary

CBT Cincinnati is seeking a VMI/Sales Specialist to grow our Vendor Managed Inventory and services business in the Cincinnati region. You will combine inventory management with a sales focus, engaging with Account Managers, customers, vendors, and internal teams to identify opportunities, quotes, and account plans.

The role requires relationship building, strong communication, and the ability to travel to customer locations using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Sales experience required; demonstrated success in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs, develop sales opportunities, handle objections, and close business.
• Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and technology skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to regularly travel to customer locations using a personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Grow VMI, product, and service business with inventory solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work with Account Managers, customers, vendors, and CBT teams.
• Develop and maintain customer VMI programs and monitor inventory usage.
• Execute account plans and track sales activity and opportunities.
