Job summary

NEFCO, a leading distributor of construction materials, seeks an Inventory Solutions Specialist to support and grow our VMI program. You will manage customer inventory, build strong client relationships, and leverage technology for accurate inventory control.

A background in construction materials or industrial distribution and experience deploying VMI tools is preferred. Travel to customer sites is required; you will train teams, analyze data, and forecast usage to optimize stock levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in sales, inventory control, or supply chain, ideally in construction/industrial distribution.
• Experience with VMI technologies such as industrial vending, barcode scanning, RFID, or ERP-integrated VMI tools.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes to manage and monitor customer inventory through site visits, scanning tools, and VMI hardware & software.
• Implement and support technology such as barcode scanning, RFID, IoT-enabled devices, and cloud-based inventory management platforms.
• Train customers and internal teams on inventory tracking systems and replenishment.
• Use forecasting tools and data analytics to predict usage trends and optimize stock levels.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishments.
