Job summary

Vallen is hiring a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to manage inventory at customer sites and oversee ordering, receiving, and setup. This role involves driving to customer locations, ensuring shipment accuracy, and coordinating with the sales team.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in warehousing or delivery, and a valid driver’s license. The position emphasizes proactive teamwork and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver's license that complies with Vallen's standards.
• Willingness to learn and work on semi-routine assignments.
• Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.
• Proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments to the customer.
• Assist with VMI space/placement and stock product in customer area.
• Follow customer order from pickup to delivery and setup at site.
• Take customer spot buy orders and relay to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes at customer site to generate orders.
• Perform VMI functions at point of use areas and communicate with supervisor and sales team.
• Maintain awareness of min/max, reorder points, and report observations to management.
