Job summary

Vallen seeks a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to deliver and manage inventory at customer sites. You will perform storage, distribution and order fulfillment tasks for merchandise, materials and equipment.

You will drive company vehicles, ensure shipment accuracy, and maintain VMI locations. The role requires a proactive team player who can handle barcodes, spots buys and inventory counts while upholding DOT regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver’s license that complies with company standards.
• Willingness to learn and perform semi-routine tasks.
• Self-starter with the ability to work under supervision.
• Ability to follow written or spoken instructions.
• Proactive, team-oriented problem solving.
• Professional representation of the company.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive company vehicles to designated locations per DOT rules.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and proper customer handoff.
• Assist with VMI space setup and stock at customer sites.
• Follow customer orders from pickup to delivery and setup.
• Handle spot buy requests and relay to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes to generate orders at the customer site.
• Maintain VMI point-of-use areas and communicate needs to management.
• Monitor min/max levels and suggest inventory adjustments.
• Keep barcode labels up to date for scanners.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts and reporting.
• Engage clients and managers with informed updates.
• Apply 5S principles to VMI areas.
• Perform other duties as requested.
