Job summary

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Public Health, invites applications for Technical Records Specialist 2 in Boise. The role serves as subject matter expert for registering vital events and supporting electronic registration software, QA, and data entry across the Vital Records Management System Operations Unit.

Role involves reviewing events, entering records, and supporting on-site processes with cross-unit collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors.
• Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and policies.
• Experience analyzing information and researching to resolve problems.
• Experience dealing with individuals from diverse backgrounds in stressful situations.
• Experience entering and retrieving data in a computerized record system.
• Experience composing and proofreading business correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Support electronic registration software products, including testing features and QA initiatives.
• Review vital events and data entering records in the Vital Records Management System.
• Return vital records to file room and order records from off-site storage.
• Review and approve or deny scans of Vital Records for digital storage.
• Participate in cross-collaboration efforts focusing on quality assurance.
