Job summary

HRA of New Britain, Inc. is seeking a Financial Services Specialist to support the VITA program and help clients move toward financial stability. You will supervise volunteers, coordinate site operations during filing season, and work with partners to ensure services are delivered effectively.

The role requires coordinating with financial coaches, documenting outcomes, and building community relationships to promote EITC and related programs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher in Business, Accounting or related field; OR at least three years of tax preparation experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Financial Stability or other financial services programs is desired.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise VITA volunteers and oversee site operations during filing season.
• Monitor adherence to IRS Volunteer Standards of Conduct and Quality Site Requirements.
• Coordinate with staff and partners to provide a continuum of service for clients.
• Develop and conduct outreach activities related to EITC and program outcomes.
• Document client outcomes using CAPTAIN or similar data systems.
