Job summary

CHANEL in New York seeks an Associate, Visual Merchandising to maintain the boutique brand image and elevate the client experience. The role reports to the Boutique Director with a dotted line to the Regional VM Manager, and involves supporting floor moves, events, and product presentation.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years retail experience, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related retail experience.
• Basic knowledge of retail operations, display and merchandising.
• Experience in basic computer software and digital photography.
• Ability to work on a ladder; lift 30-40 lb.
• Flexible schedule with late nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Front of House Fashion: Full-time in-store presence to support client sales.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the brand image in the Boutique and elevate the client experience.
• Expedite the selling process by managing displays and substitutions for clients.
• Be the point of contact for VM Lead when unavailable or on other projects.
• Support Operations with floor moves and collection launches; P Touching items.
• Update digital photo files for VM maintenance as changes are made.
• Keep documentation of window items current (SKU, price, size).
• Assist in events, seasonal installs, corporate events and other business initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with boutique selling team and management.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
