Job summary

National Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami seeks a Visitor Program Associate to host guests at The Kampong. You will handle admissions, reservations, retail operations, memberships, tours, and events, delivering exceptional service and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role includes cash handling, POS use, inventory support, and assisting with special events and daily shop tasks. A high school diploma or GED is required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively with the public.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly Spanish or Haitian Creole, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone lines and assist callers with questions, reservations, and visitor information.
• Take reservations in person, by phone, and by email; check in visitors for tours and programs.
• Provide accurate information about The Kampong, its gardens, history, and guidelines.
• Sell memberships, tours, and other visitor experiences; operate the point-of-sale system.
• Support gift shop operations, pricing, stocking, and merchandise displays.
• Assist with special events, opening/closing tasks, and daily visitor workflow.
