Job summary

The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin seeks an Admissions Assistant to support the Visitor and Volunteer Services Department, delivering welcoming service and processing admissions and memberships onsite.

This full-time, benefits-eligible role includes daily deposits, basic accounting reconciliation, CRM data entry, and collaboration across departments to promote exhibitions and programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year demonstrated experience with clerical functions including ticketing systems or POS.
• Must have accuracy and strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional visitor experience and drive membership conversion.
• Check in visitors, process admissions, and promote memberships.
• Handle all point-of-sale transactions (credit cards, cash, coupons).
• Support sales goals through outreach and upselling.
• Process group sales and maintain CRM records with accurate data entry.
