Job summary

The Historic New Orleans Collection seeks a Visitor Services Assistant to greet and engage visitors, provide information, and assist with ticketing and memberships at the front desk. The role supports events and a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience interacting with the public.
• Interest in history of New Orleans and Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information with courtesy.
• Engage visitors and share exhibition content and knowledge.
• Monitor spaces to ensure security and report issues.
• Collect visitor statistics and report them in writing and verbally.
• Manage ticketing desk duties: tickets, memberships, tours, calls, cash handling.
