Job summary

Wolf Haven International seeks a Visitor Center Specialist to oversee the on-site Visitor Center and online webstore, manage merchandise inventory, and deliver excellent customer service to sanctuary visitors. The role includes handling transactions, ensuring displays are appealing, and supporting cross-department collaboration to reflect the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to resolve guest concerns in a professional manner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proper and accurate money handling, cash counting, and other sales processing skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated, with strong initiative & accountability.
• Ability to work with Google & Microsoft products and other computer applications.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks Online, Shopify, Xola and/or other online marketplaces a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the Visitor Center, and ensure that it is adequately staffed, organized, and open for business during visit hours.
• Handle cash and cashier balance to ensure enough money is on hand during Visitor Center operating hours.
• Maintain the Visitor Center’s overall cleanliness, merchandise stock, displays, and sales processes.
• Maintain the online visitor reservation system, and provide excellent customer service for all visitors, emails, and calls.
• Collaborate with departments to accurately display public information and reflect Wolf Haven's mission.
• Assist with creating and designing new merchandise to reflect the organization’s brand and mission.
• Conduct inventory ordering, pricing, stocking, and lead year-end inventory audit.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules with the Volunteer Coordinator.
